PartyPoker Confirms Rollout Of New Software Updates And Other Cha
PartyPoker continues to make changes to its online poker offerings in an effort to continue its rise to the top and capture market share across the world. The online poker operator has done rather well in the last 24 months and has once again become popular with poker players all over the world. Partypoker recently announced that it plans to make multiple changes in an effort to continue its positive momentum and offer its players the best online poker experience possible.
Changes To partypoker Software
Partypoker is set to make a number of changes during the next couple of months. The first change is an update to the online poker software and is scheduled to happen on Feb 24. These changes are expected to improve the overall online poker experience of its players across the world. A lot of changes are pretty cosmetic, but for those who play online, these cosmetic changes can mean a lot. Partypoker made some of these cosmetic changes in December 2017 when the lobby was upgraded and a currency changer was introduced. While these changes were minor, it was still well received by partypoker players.
Once the changes are rolled out on Feb 24, players will have to upgrade their software and will then notice that the oval-shaped tables have been re-introduced and will now be available along with the earlier table design choices. Players will also notice that names are easier to identify because of larger fonts. The display is also further improved with a new time bank indicator and more. This should make it easier for people to take notes during the game. Overall, players will feel like they entered a new online poker room.
Changes to Power Series Schedule
Besides the software update, partypoker is making changes to their tournament schedule. The Power Series is one of their flagship tournament series and has been around since 2015. partypoker has tinkered with this schedule and there are now more than 500 tournaments in the entire series. The revamping ensures that players will have a chance at getting a share of the nearly $2 million in prize money which is up for grabs every week.
In a statement, Patrick Leonard, Party Poker ambassador said “Almost every tournament schedule I’ve seen over the last 10 years of playing poker has outdated structures and tournaments that shouldn’t be there but are just because “they’ve always been there”. Removing every tournament on the site and building a logical and balanced schedule based on feedback from the regular players that also makes it different and exciting for amateur players every hour and every day is fantastic.”
Besides the changes to the schedule, there will a new leaderboard for players to compete on. The weekly Power Series leaderboard has been divided into low, medium, and high buy-ins. Depending on which game they have joined, they have a chance at winning an entry to the $5,300 Millions Online tournament. This seat will give players a shot at the $20 million guaranteed prize pool. The top ten players on each player board will each get a seat to the Millions Online tournament.
